dc.description.abstractThe objective of this activity was to apply healthy environment movement model to improve healthy behavior at Islamic Boarding School Da'watul Quran Al-Rozie and Darussalam. This activity was an action research conducted on July-November 2012. Data collected were student characteristic, knowledge, attitude and practice on healthy environment, food safety and nutrition. The data was analyzed by paired t-test. Result showed that before intervention the environment around the islamic boarding school had high risk of dengue hemorrhagic fever due to high number of mosque larva. Besides, 41.5% of subjects had low and middle knowledge, attitude and practice on nutrition, food safety and healthy environment. After intervention, there was significant change in students' knowledge, attitude and practice. Proportion of subjects who had good knowledge on healthy environment increase significantly from 58.7% to 85.2%. Proportion of students who had good attitude increase significantly from 87.0% to 100%.
