Abstract

This study aims to examine the behavior and effects of watching a news program Seputar Indonesia and the factors which direct. The study involved 40 farmers village district Cibatok Satu Cibungbulang Bogor regency. Farmers viewing behavior against news programs Seputar Indonesia is relatively frequency with a fairly long duration. Farmers mostly watching in the morning and evening with family in a quiet atmosphere. Farmers have to watch the effect of a relatively high of each type effect and effect of watching the highest cognitive. Farmer characteristics related to viewing behavior include age, education level, and income level. Farmer characteristics associated with watching the effects indicated by the level of education. Farmers viewing behavior related to the effect of covering the frequency watch, watch duration, and time to watch.
