Abstract: Averrhoa dolichocarpa is a wild starfruit from Gorontalo and Averrhoa leucopetala from Papua. Both starfruits have unique characters of the leaves, infloresens, flowers, and fruit. The aims of the research were to determine the phenology of flowers and leaf chlorophyll content dynamics in flowering of two wild starfruits species Averrhoa dolichocarpa and Averrhoa leucopetala. The study was conducted in February 2012 to May 2012 by doing observations on the wild starfruits collections of Bogor Botanical Garden. Averrhoa dolichocarpa has infloresens initiation time (8-14) days, single flower’s small bud phase (11-15) days, large bud phase 1 day, anthesis 3 days and fruit development (40-45) days. Flower and fruit drop rate is quite high and the most influential environment factor is the wind speed. The chlorophyll content is very dynamic and influenced by the state of the location and the large of plant canopy. Averrhoa leucopetala has infloresens initiation time (30-34) days, small bud phase (12-15) days, large bud phase 1 day, anthesis 5 days, and fruit development (40-42) days. Flower and fruit drop rate is also quite high. Chlorophyll content is more static and tends to increase in the fruit development phase.
