dc.description.abstractSapta Pesona is a government program to increase community awareness, responsibility and action to encourage tourism activity to its development. Jakarta as a capital city of Indonesia and as one of tourism destination with all the potentions they have, include of hotel. The participation of hotel leader and employment to sapta pesona program then become an important point to be analized due to its adoption to develop tourism sector especially in East Jakarta. The purpose of this study was to: (1) analyze knowledge, perceptions and adoption of managers/leaders and employees in East Jakarta’s hotel related to innovation adoption of Sapta Pesona; (2) analyze the characteristics correlated with knowledge, perception and adoption of the Sapta Pesona by managers/ leaders and employees in East Jakarta’s hotel; and (3) analyze the increasing adoption Sapta Pesona managers/leaders and employees in East Jakarta’s hotel in order to the develop services. Research design using survey methods with the aim of searching for data and facts concerning factors related to innovation adoption of Sapta Pesona enchantment by managers/leaders and employees in East Jakarta. The study was conducted in East Jakarta hotel. The population in this study was the overall of manager/leader and employees of Star and Non-star hotel available in East Jakarta are directly related to the implementation of the Sapta Pesona enrolled in East Jakarta Tourism Agency from 2004 to 2011. The research sample was managers/leaders and employees of the hotel were directly responsible for this programm. The study could be summarized as it follows: Community knowledge, perception, and adoption are in good enough level. The increase of knowledge, perception, and adoption can be increased by improving the training, and activity such as workshop related to hotel and tourism.en
