dc.description.abstractThe aimed of this study was to find the best plant media for the growth of fig cuttings. The experiment was conducted in July to October 2012 at Leuwikopo Experimental Farm, Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia. The experiment was arranged in Randomized Complete Block Design with plant media compotition as the treatment and four replications. The plant media consisted of soil, rice hull charcoal, and goat manure (2:1:1); soil, bamboo leaves compost and rice hull charcoal (2:1:1); cocopeat and bamboo leaves compost (1:1);rice hull charcoal, goat manure and bamboo leaves compost (1:1:1). The result showed that the plant consisted of soil, rice hull charcoal, and goat manure; soil, bamboo leaves compost and rice hull charcoal; and rice hull charcoal, goat manure and bamboo leaves compost gave the same performance in fig cuttings of life percentages, that were 65.5, 70.0 and 65.0%, whereas plant media consisted of cocopeat and bamboo leaves compost gave the lowest result of 37.5%.en
