dc.description.abstractThe objective of this research was to study the effect of fortified animal manure application on growth and yield of several leafy vegetables, such as: kangkong (Ipomoea aquatica F.), caisin (Brassica rapa L.), and lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.). This research was conducted at Cikabayan Farm Unit, University Farm, IPB Darmaga Bogor from Februari to August, 2012. Six treatments (chicken manure, fortified chicken manure, goat manure, fortified goat manure, cow manure, fortified cow manure) were arranged in Randomized Complete Block Design with four replication for each vegetables as a single unit experiment. Chicken manure application produced higher yield. Chicken manure application produced 4.88 ton ha-1 kangkong, 9.60 ton ha-1 caisin, and 2.24 ton ha-1 lettuce. Moreover, the application of fortified animal manure increased kangkong yield up to 20% weight per plant, 17.78% marketable plant weight per bed and 19.76% root weight per plant.en
