Abstract: There are many researches about plants based by their ability of sensitivity and tollerance for pollutant. This research measured kind of plants that planted in Bumi Serpong Damai, South Tangerang for adsorbing dust caused by vehicles. The location divided based on traffic level: high, medium and low. This research used 2 methods, measuring ever 4 hours and every 24 hours. The measurement every 4 hours at high traffic location stated that Heliconia adsorb dust highest, it is 53.73 mg/hour. At medium traffic location, Kaca Piring adsorb dust highest, it is 40.19 mg/hari. At low location Pandan Kuning adsorb dust highest, it is 26.82 mg/hour.The measurement every 24 hours at high traffic location stated that Heliconia adsorb dust highest, it is 59.53 mg/day.The measurement every 4 hours is better than measurement every 24 hours. This method affected by double tape saturation andadhesive decreasecaused the data become error. At medium traffic location, Kaca Piring adsorb dust highest, it is 47.95 mg/day. At low location Rowelia Tegak adsorb dust highest, it is 39.75 mg/dayHeliconia, Rowelia Tegak, Kaca Piring and Pandan Kuning are kind of plants that could adsorb dust well. Plant choosing based the leave surface could help adsrobing the dust more effective. Besides, combining the plants will be more effective for adsorbing dust.
