Pengembangan Agroforestry Berbasis Biofarmaka dan Kemitraan Pemasaran untuk Pemberdayaan Masyarakat di Kabupaten Sukabumi, Provinsi Jawa Barat

Abstract

Most of community around forest in sukabumi District is small and landless farmers. They traditionally cultivate among any others medicinal plants. But the product quality is under the standard which caused low product prices. It is then needed to strengthen and eurpowering the farmer capacity whit aims to improve qualit of madicinal plant products and to develop and integrated marketing model for madicinal plants and a high competitiveness farmer grup institution which build a partnership with industy. The object of this activity is farmers at Mekarjaya village, Ciemas sub-district who are member of Srijaya farmer Groups Association (FGA). Survey, in-depth interview and focus group discussion were conducted to get data on existing condition. Farmer Institution strengthening was conducted through trainings for farmers on agroforestry based medicinal plant including agroforestry demonstration plot establishment, post harvest processing ana facititation of farmer group institution. Agribusiness networking and partnership is built through the memorandum of understanding on marketing between FGA and two industry companies.
