| Abstract: | Nowadays, garbage waste problems it’s one of issue that concerns with every country in the world, included Indonesia. Volume of garbage waste to increase but minimum waste control is the most perceived problems due to the waste bin. One of garbage type needing to be taken seriously waste controls is plastics, beside of organic waste. Plastics waste need a waste controls because plastics included in non degradable waste. Need long time to make plastics become unraveled. One solution that can be applied in the handling this problems is recycling this waste. However, separating the plastic waste to the other waste are a new issues that arise during the recycling process, it required an equipment to separating plastic waste from organic waste. That equipment do not exist, requires an initial research to find method that can be applied in separating plastic and organic materials. Heat-cylinder methods it’s one of method can be applied when separating plastic and organic materials. This research has aims to design and build a model of plastic and organic materials separator used heat cylinder method. It has a basis for development into a plastic garbage separator. In the design separator model of plastic and organic materials by heat-cylinder method it’s required other constituent components so that the separation process can be performed. The other components include hoppers, scrubbers, crank and the media end of the reservoir. Separation process will be beginning sheltered plastics and organic materials into the hopper. Furthermore these materials will flow into the heat-cylinder, which was spun by the crank rotation. Rotation of the cylinder heat helps in drainage material in the hopper. Heat in the cylinder has makes plastics stuck in a round of heat-cylinder and it has separated again when it comes to the scrubber and after that followed to the end storage media. As for the organic material will flow directly into end storage media when beginning process. |
