Abstract: Pulau Padar is a relative small island which located in the main area of Komodo National Park. The threat of extinction on a small island is larger than a large island because of a limited environmental factors and the high frecuency of interaction an extern / interspesies. The lack of information on the diversity, abundance and the distribution of reptiles on Padar Island make this island vulnerable to the possibility of unknown reptiles’ gone extinct. The purpose of this research is to describe the composition, diversity and the ecological distribution of reptiles and also analyzing the distribution of reptiles in Padar Island based on land, altitude, and the stream’s distance. Survey was conducted on February until March 2012, in 13 different locations which included four different typeof habitats. Data were collected using Visual Encounter Survey (VES) method combined with time search method. Data of the reptiles were analyzed to obtain value of diversity, evenness and abundance of species. Data on activity patterns and ecological distribution were obtained from recording data of reptiles (activity and position). The data were then associated with habitat data and analyzed using Ward methods to see type similarity between habitats and grouped into habitat use type or ecological distribution in microhabitat. Theamatic map of land, altitude and stream’s distance was developed from processing the RBI map and divided them to different classes. Then, it was overlayed with reptile’s point of occurence to produce a map of reptiles distribution based on land, altitude and streams’distance.
