Abstract: This research used the input-output analysis and Analitycal Hierarchy Process (AHP) to know the role investment of agricultural sector in economic growth Jambi provinces. The research aimed: (1) analyze the level of backward and forward linkages of agricultural sector with other economic sectors; (2) analyzing the impact of the agricultural sector investment towards the establishment of output, income, and labor; (3) analyze the factors that drive the policies and decisions of investors to invest in agriculture. The analysis showed that the role of agricultural sector in the province of Jambi is a huge. It can be seen from its contribution to the formation of the structure of final demand, output and value added in the economic structure of Jambi Province in 2010. The role played by the agricultural sector is a key sector of agricultural commodities (the leading sectors) Jambi Province. In addition, the role of the agricultural sector can also be seen from the backward linkages and forward linkage on the economy of Jambi Province. Based on linkage analysis, linkage sectors have direct and indirect output to the rear is dominated by the agricultural sector both on-farm and offfarm, the sector is the sector of rubber; Industry CPO; Sawmills and Wood Processing Industry; Pinang; and Plywood Industry likes; Industrial Building Materials and Furniture of Wood; Eggs; Palm oil; Industrial Rubber, Rubber and Plastic Goods, while the agricultural sector has a direct and indirect linkages to the highest front rubber sector; other food industry sectors; rice sector, and forest products. The changes value with the highest percentage due to the impact of agricultural sector investment to the formation of the value of output, income and labor that largest is the plantation sub-sector. That has the highest level of importance in influencing the policy of investment is a infrastructure factor with the actor of the most decisive is BAPEDDA Province of Jambi.
