Abstract: The objective of this experiment was to evaluate the effect of the feeding uli banana peel meal of visceral, digestive tract, and abdominal fat of Arabian chicken. The diet contain metabolizable energy 2750 kkal/kg, crude protein 15%, fat 7%, and fiber 7%. The experimental design was used the Completely Randomized Design. Eighty pullet of Arabic Chickens (19 weeks old) have been maintained for seven weeks. They were divided into four treatment diets with four replications, consisted of 5 chickens in each replicate. The treatment diets were R0 (50% corn without banana peel meal), R1 (30% corn + 20% banana peel meal), R2 (20% corn + 30% banana peel meal), R (10% corn + 40% banana peel meal). The result showed that the feeding uli banana peel meals on arabian chickens wasn’t significant effect of weight of carcass, abdominal fat, weight of visceral, and digestive tract. Conclusion of the study using 40 % of uli banana peel meal could be used on arabian chickens feed.
Ayam arab memiliki potensi pasar yang cukup tinggi untuk dikembangkan oleh peternak dalam produksi telur. Peternak mempunyai kendala dalam penyediaan pakan yang harganya mahal. Limbah hasil suatu pengolahan dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pakan ayam arab contohnya limbah kulit pisang. Limbah kulit pisang dapat digunakan sebagai pakan karena kulit pisang sangat berpotensi sebagai sumber karbohidrat dan memiliki kandungan beta-karoten. Kandungan serat kasar pada tepung kulit pisang sebesar 11,51% menjadi pembatas penggunaan kulit pisang dalam ransum ayam arab. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penelitian mengenai pengaruh penggunaan tepung kulit pisang dalam pakan terhadap bobot organ dalam dan saluran pencernaan serta lemak abdominal pada ayam.
