Abstract: The supply of tubifex worm which is usually used in fish hatchery is still insufficient since its demand is continously growing. Therefore, tubifex worm culture is importance to meet that demand. Every kind of manure can give to different result to oligochaeta worm cultivation. The purpose of this research was assessing effectiveness of fermented chicken manure, fermented quail manure (FQM), and fermented cow dung manure in oligochaeta worm cultivation in flow through system. The aspect that assessed was covering bio-technical and economical means. The medium that used were a mixture of mud and manure with weight ratio of 1 : 1. The addition of manure carried on every day during the maintenance of tubificid worm and the flow through debit was 126 ml/min/container. Based on bio-technical aspect, FQM addition produced highest biomass about 2547,19 g/m2 and FQM also the best treatment in economical aspects with profit of about Rp 38.983.252,-; ; R/C ratio about 1,588; Payback Periode for 0,41 year in an area of land effective at 390 m2.
Ketersediaan cacing sutra masih belum dapat memenuhi permintaan cacing sutra untuk industri pembenihan ikan. Budidaya cacing sutra harus dilakukan untuk memenuhi permintaan tersebut. Setiap jenis pupuk kandang dapat memberikan hasil yang berbeda terhadap produktivitas budidaya cacing sutra oligochaeta. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji efektivitas pupuk kotoran ayam fermentasi, pupuk kotoran sapi fermentasi dan pupuk kotoran puyuh fermentasi (PKPF) dalam budidaya cacing sutra oligochaeta pada sistem air mengalir. Aspek yang dikaji meliputi aspek bioteknis dan ekonomis. Media yang digunakan adalah campuran lumpur dan pupuk perlakuan dengan perbandingan 1:1. Pemupukan tambahan dilakukan setiap hari selama masa pemeliharaan cacing sutra dengan debit aliran air sebesar 126 ml/menit/wadah. Berdasarkan aspek bioteknis, pemberian PKPF menghasilkan biomassa cacing sutra tertinggi yakni sebesar 2547,19 g/m2. PKPF juga merupakan perlakuan terbaik dari aspek ekonomis dengan nilai keuntungan sebesar Rp 38.983.252,- ; rasio R/C sebesar 1,588; dan tingkat pengembalian modal (PP) selama 0,41 tahun pada luas lahan efektif sebesar 390 m2.
