Landscape Plan of Mas Harun Bastari Lake Tourism Area in Rejang Lebong District, Bengkulu Province

Abstract

The increase of tourist numbers who visit tourism object reflects that the people realize that they need of recreation. This means that tourism has a bright prospect to develop. The people’s need of tourim object become a challenge to goverment and the another stakeholders to create tourism object that can fulfill it. But in other side tourism activity can make a bad impact for natural environtment and cultural environment. If this situaton last longer can cause damage to the environment that cannot be restored. Tourism object planning is needed to protect, prevent ,and restore the environment from damage that come from tourism activities . The planning of tourism object can overcome the bad impact and make a sustainable tourism object . The purpose of this research is planning a tourism object that can fulfill the need of recreation activity and can be sustainable. The planning object is the Danau Mas Harun Bastari tourism object of Rejang Lebong District. This research is using the environmental aspects as basics foundation for planning the tourism objects. This research took three process which are inventory, analysis and synthesis. Physical and cultural data were gathered in inventory process. Data from inventory were analyzed to make the basics of planning and reveal the potentials and dangers in site. The concept was developed in syhntesis process. The result of this study is a landscape plan.
