dc.description.abstractThe objectives of the research is to create an effective trap of spiny lobster juvenile base on trap position in the sea water layer, type of the material and trap soaking time. The experimental fishing was conducted in the Kertajaya Sangra wayang water of Sukabumi District. There are 7 levels of water depth are 1,5 m, 3 m, 4,5 m, 6 m, 7,5 m, 9 m, 10,5 m and 4 kinds material are waring, woven shirt, woven netting and gunny. The result of the research was the traps can catch the spiny lobster juvenile, the most catch was found in the 1-3 m water layers and use material gunny. The main catch was spiny lobster juvenile and catch were crustacean group and fish group (pisces). The trap’s position in the water layer influence the catch value of spiny lobster.. The most main catch was found in water levels 1,5m and 3m. The best material for spiny lobster juveniles trap was gunny. The fisherman can use spiny lobster juvenile trap by operating in water levels 1-3 m, use gunny meterial with one day soaking time.en
