Abstract: | One way to increase the sensitivity in measurement of chromium(III) by voltammetry is by modifying the surface of the working electrode. Zeolite of Cikembar 325 mesh was been modified with 2-acetylpiridin and used it to modify carbon paste electrode surface for chromium(III) measurement in 0.05M NaNO3 electrolyte by using cathodic stripping voltammetry differential pulse potential in the range of -1000 to 1000 mV. Based on scanning electron microscopy - energy dispersive x-ray (SEM-EDX), the zeolite-acetylpiridin has a hollow structure; composed of oxygen, carbon, silicon, aluminum, potassium, iron, and chromium atoms. The carbon paste electrode that was modified by zeolite-acetylpiridin showed higher intensity of reduction peak. The best working electrode to produce current responses of analyte was EPKZA20 (carbon paste electrode modified by 20% zeolite-acetylpyridine). EPKZA20 with preconcentration time for 15 minutes produces the peak current of 2.46 μA for chromium (III) concentration of 1 mM. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan sensitivitas dalam pengukuran kromium(III) secara voltametri adalah dengan modifikasi permukaan elektrode kerja. Zeolit Cikembar 325 mesh telah dimodifikasi dengan 2-asetilpiridin dan digunakan sebagai pemodifikasi permukaan elektrode pasta karbon untuk pengukuran Cr3+ dalam elektrolit NaNO3 0.05M dengan teknik differential pulse cathodic stripping voltammetry (DPCSV) pada selang potensial -1000 sampai 1000 mV. Zeolit-asetilpiridin berdasarkan hasil scanning electron microscopy - energy dispersive x-ray (SEM-EDX) memiliki struktur berongga; tersusun dari atom oksigen (63.78%), karbon (17.49%), silikon (15.32%), aluminium (1.81%), kalium (0.79%), besi (0.73%), dan kromium (0.08%). Elektrode pasta karbon termodifikasi zeolit-asetilpiridin menunjukkan intesitas arus puncak reduksi yang lebih tinggi. Elektrode kerja yang paling baik dalam menghasilkan respons arus analat adalah EPKZA20 (elektrode pasta karbon temodifikasi zeolit-asetilpiridin sebanyak 20%). EPKZA20 dengan waktu prekonsentrasi selama 15 menit menghasilkan arus puncak sebesar 2.46 μA untuk kosentrasi Cr(III) sebesar 1mM. |
