dc.description.abstract | Spirulina is blue green algae that have high nutrient component like protein and vitamin so can used as single cell protein (SCP). This research orders to know minimum doses of using spirulina in different protein feed on growth performance of tilapia. Experimental diets were protein level 25% suplemented spirulina 0% (25A), protein level 25% suplemented spirulina 3% (25B), protein level 25% suplemented spirulina 6% (25C), protein level 28% suplemented spirulina 0% (28A), protein level 28% suplemented spirulina 3% (28B), and protein level 28% suplemented spirulina 6% (28C). Animal tests used were tilapia Oreochromis niloticus with average initial weight 17,24±0,29 g and density 5 fishes/aquarium. Tilapia maintened in aquarium sized 50x40x35 cm that fill water 30 cm and used recirculation system. Fishes cultured for 40 days and fed at satiation with three times feeding frequency. All data analyzed statistically by two-way ANOVA. The result demonstrated that suplement of spirulina with different doses in different protein level of feed gave influence for specific growth rate, feeding efficiency, protein deposition, and fat deposition. Fish fed by feed containing spirulina 3% in protein level 25% showed growth performance as same as fed of protein level 28%. | en |
