Abstract: Quercetin is one of flavonoid class which has been clinically proven for allergic and also has been syntheticed. It has not researched yet to determine the smallest which can effect as antiallergic. The guinea pigs divided into two groups, control (K) and Quercetin (Q) groups. Each groups were comprised three guinea pigs and all of it were adapted for 14 days. Guinea pigs were sensitized for 39 days with egg white 2 mg/mL dissolved by Al(OH)3 as adjuvant and buffer saline by forced egg white down. While, another three guinea pigs were adapted for 3 days to determine pharmacologic dosage based Lethal Dose 50 (LD50) of Quercetin. The result of this assay showed that at dose 13.92 mg/kg body weight is safe dosage. This dosage then used for determine the effect of quercetin as antiallergy with Evans blue dye as indicator (AKP method). The result of AKP showed that quercetin has no significant effect. The concentration of Immunoglobulin E (IgE) in guinea pigs serum also same for all guinea pigs < 2.4 ng/mL. The result of this research was quercetin at dose 13.92 mg/kg body weight has no significant effect as antiallergic.
