dc.description.abstract | Lobster merupakan salah satu komoditas terpenting dunia perikanan. Genus Panulirus memiliki keragaman paling besar dari family Palinuridae. Panulirus telah lama menjadi objek menarik para peneliti dunia disebabkan oleh tingginya keragaman spesies, daerah penyebaran yang luas dan juga nilai ekonominya yang tinggi. Pengetahuan dasar mengenai keragaman populasi genetik diperlukan sebagai acuan dalam pengelolaan sumber daya perikanan. Berbagai metode telah digunakan dalam studi keragaman genetik Panulirus, setiap metode memiliki kelebihan masing-masing. Random amplified polymorphism DNA (RAPD) merupakan salah satu teknik molekular yang telah digunakan secara luas dalam mempelajari hubungan kekerabatan genetik berbagai organisme termasuk tanaman, hewan, ikan, serta udang-udangan. Analisis RAPD memiliki beberapa kelebihan diantaranya dapat digunakan dalam analisis genom pad a variasi spesies yang luas, dapat menganalisis banyak sampel secara simultan dan pengerjaannya relatif cepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengklarifikasi hubungan filogeni dan mengevaluasi akurasi metode RAPD dalam menentukan kekerabatan lobster genus Panulirus. | IND |
dc.description.abstract | Spiny lobsters are one of the world's most valuable fisheries resources. The genus Panulirus is the most species rich among the family Palinuridae. Panulirus was interesting object for world's researchers because of its species diversity, wide spread area, and also its high economic value. Basic knowledge about genetic diversity is need as reference to manage fisheries resources. Several kinds of methods had been applied to determine Panulirqs genetic diversity and each method has each advantages. Random amplified polymorphism DNA (RAPD) is a molecular technique that has been successfully used to study genetic relationship in many organisms including plant, animal, fish, and shrimp. RAPD analysis has several advantages, such as it can be used in genome analysis to wide species variation, analysis can simultaneously be performed for many samples, and working faster. In this study, RAPD analysis was performed to clarify systematic and phylogenetic relationship and also to assess the utility of RAPD for investigating genetic relationship of the spiny lobster genus Panulirus. | en |
