Gambaran Kualitas Spermatozoa Domba Garut dengan Pemberian Ransum Komplit yang Mengandung Limbah Tauge dan Indigofera Sp.

Abstract

The expe riment was conducted to analyse the influence of Indigofera Sp and waste bean sprout on spermquality young garut’s sheep. This research was conducted in September 2011 in Small Ruminants Airy Laboratory Block B Department Animal Production and Technology and Reproduction and Rehabilitation Unit of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. This experiment consists of two treatments and four replications. The treatments used different kind of feed materials such as R1 (30 % Indigofera Sp) or R2(30 % waste bean sprouts) then analysed b y T test. Semen collection was do ne in one week. Semen was analyzed macroscopically (colour, volume, pH, consistency) and microscopically (concentration, mass movement, viability, motility, abnormality, cytoplasm droplet, and HOS test). Result of semen analysis were compered with several result on garut’s semen quality from several researchs. Result of the mortality, viability, and abnormality were no significant different between sheep treated fed waste bean sprouts and Indigofera sp. (78,75%; 83,7%; and 30,54% vs 79,38%; 82, 93%; and 20,71%) respectively. It can be concluded that both feed materials (waste bean sprouts or Indigofera Sp.) have the same capabilities in improving the quality of the semen. However result of semen quality still have high abnormality due to sheep were used in this experiment were still immature sexualy.
