This study was aimed to get information about the effect of blackseed (Nigella sativa) effect on the histopathology of mice lung. Twelve male mice of 4 weeks old were divided into four groups, each group consisted of three mice. Group K or negative control received aquadest, group HS 0.1 was received 0.1 ml blackseed oil, group HS 0.2 was received 0.2 blackseed oil and group HS Madu was received 0.3 ml mixed of blackseed oil and honey (1:20) for two months. At the end of the experiment, the mice were euthanized by atlanto occipital dislocation and necropsied to collect the lung sample. The lungs were processed to prepare the histopathology slides with Hematoxyllin-Eosin and Periodic Acid Schiff (PAS) stain. The parameters observed include counting percentage of bronchus and bronchial presenting exudates, counting the goblet cell between the respiratory epithelial cell, calculating the BALT area, counting the limfoid cell density of the BALT, counting the congestion, hemorrhage, inflammation and emphysema area on the certain fields of view, measuring the thickness of smooth muscle surround bronchial using Image J® for Microsoft® Windows®. Quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS® 16.0 software and ANOVA test followed Duncan test. The result showed that Nigella sativa treatment does not lead to increase exudation in the bronchus and bronchioles lumen,a decrease in the activity of goblet cells, a decrease the BALT area and an increase in the lymphoid cell density,a reduce the area of congestion and hemorrhage, inflammation and emphysema, reduction at the smooth muscle thickness. The blackseed content such thymoquinone and longifolene were thought to provide a favorable effect on lung histomorphology.en
