dc.description.abstractThe demand of catfish in the market has been growing annually. It is a significant errand for farmers to provide an amount of seed continually in an adequate number in order to support catfish production. Rematuration is one of the ways to enhance spawning frequency. The aim of the research was to develop a process for accelerate gonad maturity of female catfish using combination of Pregnant Mare Serum Gonadotropin (PMSG) mix hormone and the addition of Spirulina in feeds. PMSG dosage used were 0 IU, 5 IU, 10 IU and 20 IU , whereas Spirulina were 0%, 1.5% and 3%. The results showed that gonad maturity process of female catfish could be accelerated only in 4 weeks by administering the combination of PMSG mix hormone and Spirulina supplementation in the feeds. The treatment of PMSG mix 5 IU/kg weight seemed to be significantly effective to accelerate gonad maturity in female catfish.en
