dc.description.abstractThis study was aimed to find the effects of phytoestrogen of tempe extract, which were given to pregnant and lactation Sprague Dawley rats, on their reproduction development of female offsprings. Twelve pregnant Sprague Dawley rats were given 4.72 gr/kgBW tempe extract daily on gestation day 2-11 (group A), gestation day 12-birth (group B), lactation day 2-11 (group C), and were not given phytoestrogen for control (group K). Three female offsprings from each group were taken as the object of this research. Parameters observed were length of gestation rats, number of pups, pups body weight, anogenital distance, puberty age, ovarium weight, and utero-vagina weight. Data were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and continued by Duncan Test with 95% (α=0.05) confidence interval. The results showed that phytoestrogen of tempe extract could make longer anogenital distance, delayed puberty age, and increased ovarium and utero-vagina pups weight on postpartus day 42.en
dc.description.abstractStudi ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh fitoestrogen ekstrak tempe yang diberikan kepada tikus Sprague Dawley bunting dan laktasi, terhadap perkembangan reproduksi anak betina. Sebanyak 12 ekor tikus Sprague Dawley bunting diberi 4.72 gr/kgBB ekstrak tempe setiap hari pada usia kebuntingan 2-11 hari (kelompok A), usia kebuntingan 12 hari sampai partus (kelompok B), usia laktasi 2-11 hari (kelompok C), dan tidak diberikan fitoestrogen sebagai kontrol (kelompok K). Tiga anak betina dari masing-masing kelompok merupakan objek penelitian. Parameter-parameter yang diamati adalah lama kebuntingan, jumlah anak dalam sekali melahirkan, bobot badan anak, jarak celah anogenital, usia pubertas, bobot ovarium, dan bobot uterus-vagina. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan pengujian Duncan pada selang kepercayaan sebesar 95% (α=0.05). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa fitoestrogen ekstrak tempe dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan reproduksi anak betina yaitu memperpanjang jarak celah anogenital, menunda usia pubertas, dan meningkatkan bobot ovarium dan bobot uterus-vagina anak usia 42 hari setelah partus.
