Study on Poisons Bait of Scaly-Breasted Munia (Lonchurapunctulata L) znd Javan Munia (Loncltura leucogastroides Horsfield & Moore). Rice is a staple food in Indonesian. There are several constraints in increasing rice production, one of them is pest. Scaly-breasted munia (L. pur~cfulataL .) and javan munia (L. lelrcogastroides Hor-sfield & Moore) is the important pest. It is important to control the population. One of the control methods is using poison bait. The objective of this research was to obtain the most effective poisons to control the bird population. We examined the bird individually as well as population. The multiple choice test was used in this experiment both with and without poison. Although the natural food without poison was more preferable for the bird, the bait content Bromadiolone was also consumed by the birds. Javan munia was relatively more resistance to the poison than scaly-breasted munia.en
