This study was conducted at the Tajur Experimental Field of Bogor Agricultural University, in October 2009 to March 2010. In this experiment we used papaya genotype IPB 9 as mother plant and genotype IPB 1, IPB 3, and IPB 4 as pollinators. This experiment was aimed to study metaxenia effect on papaya. Mother plant lowers were pollinated with pollen of pollinators to form fruit. Metaxenia effects were analyzed by measuring physical and chemical qualities of the ripen mother plant fruits. The results showed that there was no significant differences between the observed variables in all treatments of pollination, that indicate there is no metaxenia effects on fruits of papaya genotype IPB 9en
