dc.description.abstractForage is a important feed for ruminants such as cow and goat. Generally in lndonesia and specially in Kebar, the farmer always using native forage from native grassland. The objective of this study is to knorv the type of forage preparation for Balicattle from the local farmer in Kebar. The metlrod of the study rvas used survey method, during July to August 2009. The result of this study shorved that there are two system of the feed preparations namety grazing and soiling (cut and carry,). The potential of dominant local grass there are l3 species of grasses, 5 species of legumes and 6 species of weeds. This location has a very potential for ruminants because the production of they is good.en
