Abstract: Increased age or oxidative stress decreases the function of the hippocampus. One way to improve the function of the aging hippocampus is to increase the level of glutathione in the hippocampus. Alanine-glutamine dipeptide experiment was designed to obtain the optimum concentrations of alanine glutamine dipeptide supplementation that can increase the levels of glutathione in the hippocampus, to obtain an improvement of histo morphology, mitocondrial structure, learning memory and motor activity ability, concrentations of alanine glutamine dipeptide in the plasma or the hippocampus after administration of 7 % alanine glutamine dipeptide, both in physiological aging or oxidative stress rats.
