Abstract: The experiment aimed to find out the optimum dose of growth, production fresh leaf, and essential oil content from two accessions of basil. Experiment was conducted at Serikat Petani Indonesia (SPI) land, Dramaga, Bogor from May to July 2010. The research was a factorial experiment in a split plot design with three replications. As the main treatment was two accessions of basilBogor and Karawang. Manure dose consisting of 0,10,20, and 30 ton/ha. The result showed that the optimum dose of manure had not been found and 30 ton/ha chicken manuring gave the highest growth and production to accession basil from Bogor and Karawang. Accession basil from Bogor with chicken manure produced the essential oil rendement was 0.12% % and basil from Karawang was 0.20%.
