Abstract: Sustainable development has been defined as economic and social development that meets the needs of the current generation without undermining the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Paradigm of sustainable development is a balance of economic grown, social equity and ecology preservation. The purposes of this study were: (1) to study the achievement of social, economic and environmental development indicators, (2) to measure and analyze the differences of social, economic and environmental development, and (3) to determine status of development in 2001, 2005, and 2009 of regencies/cities in Banten Province based on sustainable development conceps. The data was analyzed by using quantitative descriptive, Full Permutation Polygon Synthetic Indicator (FPPSI), Villain and Champbell analysis. FPPSI analysis used 10 (ten) social indicators, 7 (seven) economic indicators and 10 (ten) environmental indicators were selected based on the principles of simplicity, objectivity, scope, quantification, measurement, sensitivity, and time limit. The result showed that the status of development did not increase in urban areas (Tangerang City, Cilegon City) and rural areas (Pandeglang Regency, Lebak Regency, Serang Regency) from 2001 to 2009. Tangerang City and Cilegon City had equitable status in 2001, 2005, and 2009. Pandeglang Regency and Serang Regency had ecology preservation status in 2001, 2005, and 2009 while Lebak had ecology preservation status in 2001 and 2005, but it dropped to unsustainable status in 2009. The status of development that increased only in the peri urban area (Tangerang Regency), it had sustainable development status in 2005, but it decreased to equitable status in 2009 as well as in 2001.
