Abstract: Greywater of domestic water waste has a biodegradable organic matter characteristic which can be decreased by using phytoremediator treatment method. The obyective of this research is to find out the most effective treatment by using Pistia stratiotes L., Salvinia molesta D. mitch. plants and to study the respons of lettuce growth. Greenhouse experiment was conducted at Darmaga Research Station, IPB-Bogor. The research consist of initial and main research. The initial research begin to determined waste concentration and biomass water plant used, and the main research, how to manage greywater by using water circulation system and plants as a phytoremediator. This research was constructed according to Complete Randomized Factorial Experimental Design with three replications, Two remediation vessels (B1 and B2) and two plant treatments (control, Pistia sp. and Salvinia sp. The result of the research showed the greywater had a high standard quality of Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD). All Treatements could increased a quality of greywater and plant treatment could diminished COD at one week after planting (WAP) treatment, but remediator vessel treatment could diminished COD at 3 WAP. The interation effect of plants and remediator vessels had a significant efect to water-N: at 1 and two WAP. Phosporous level significantly decreased at 0, 2 and 3 WAP by plant treatment, remediation vessel and their combination. Pistia sp. is more effective than Salvinia sp. to recycling water quality. Phosphorous and nitrat level content in effluent 1 were lower than nutrient requirement for normal lettuce growth at hidroponic system. Lettuce nutrient deficiency became low weight of biomass and to stimulate to be dead of lettuce (aproximately 32%).
