Abstract: Galohgor is a traditional Sundanese herbs containing of 56 ingredients, consist of leafs, roots, stems, seeds, and beans that consumed by postpartum women in Bogor to increase breast milk production for breastfeeding. The survey showed empirically that Galohgor herbal medicine has some benefits: to increase breast milk production, to accelerate healing uterus and improve stamina of postpartum women. The aim of the study was to determine Antioxidant Activity of Galohgor Herbs in Rats. Thirty-two female rats were divided into four groups, with one control group, and the other groups got three different dosages (0.375 g/kgBW; 0.75 g/kgBW; and 1.5 g/kgBW) for 14 days continuously. The rats were fed and given water as they need. Antioxidant activity assay was done by measuring levels of malondialdehyde (MDA) and activity of Superoxide dismutase (SOD) enzyme in plasma. The study results showed that Galohgor herbs decreased levels of MDA (p <0.05) and increased activity of SOD (p<0.05) enzyme in plasma. The decrease of MDA level accompanied with increased antioxidant activity of SOD enzyme in plasma showed that the Galohgor herbs was efficacious in warding off free radicals and improve stamina of postpartum women.
