| Abstract: | Traffic problem has become a common phenomenon in big cities in Indonesia, such as Jakarta. The bus rapid transit (BRT) system is one of the solutions of the traffic problem in Jakarta. The BRT system, that has been developed by Jakarta’s government, is Transjakarta or popularly called “busway”. Busway is expected to solve the traffic problem in Jakarta. In practice, Transjakarta often experiences shortages of buses at some particular periods because of customer fluctuations in peak and non peak hours. This situation has caused decrease on utility of transportation’s infrastructure and increase on operational cost. This study has developed an optimization model to determine the frequency of buses operated at each period of the day, such that customers are served better and the operational cost is minimum. The scheduling problem is formulated as an integer linear programming and solved using LINGO 11. Masalah kemacetan sudah menjadi fenomena yang lazim terjadi di kota-kota besar di Indonesia seperti Jakarta. Sistem Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) ialah salah satu solusi untuk menyelesaikan masalah kemacetan di Jakarta. Sistem BRT yang sedang dikembangkan oleh pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta adalah Transjakarta atau yang lebih kita kenal sebagai busway. Busway diharapkan dapat menyelesaikan masalah kemacetan di Jakarta. Dalam pelaksanaannya, masih banyak kekurangan yang terjadi seperti pada saat penumpang mengalami fluktuasi pada waktu puncak dan waktu nonpuncak. Situasi ini menyebabkan sarana dan prasarana transportasi yang disediakan menjadi rendah utilitasnya dan biaya operasional meningkat, Penelitian ini dikembangkan dalam sebuah model optimisasi yang menjelaskan operasi frekuensi bus dalam satu hari, agar penumpang dilayani lebih baik dan biaya operasional minimum. Masalah penjadwalan diformulasikan sebagai pemrograman linear integer dan diselesaikan menggunakan software LINGO 11.0. |
