Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kombinasi obat bius xylazine-ketamine dan zolazepam-tiletamine terhadap kerja jantung melalui teknik pengamatan ekhokardiografi M-mode pada anjing kampung (Canis lupus familiaris). Hewan coba yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 5 ekor anjing kampung betina berumur 10+2 bulan dengan berat badan 10+2,5 kg. Bahan dan alat yang digunakan adalah obat bius xylazine-ketamine dan zolazepam-tiletamine, termometer, tensimeter, stetoskop, alat cukur rambut, alat EKG, alat USG dengan fasilitas tambahan monitoring EKG, dan transduser atau probe dengan frekuensi 3,7-5 MHz tipe convex.
The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of xylazine-ketamine and zolazepam-tiletamine anaesthetic combination in Indonesian mongrel dog heart using M-mode echocardiography. The study was to conduct in five young female dogs with age of 10±2 months, and weight 10±2.5 kg. Examination were performed to dogs in conscious state or after receiving anaesthesi combination intra muscular. The instrument used in this study were ultrasound device (Sonoscope SSI-1000) and convex type transduser with small footprint scanner of 3-7.5 MHz frequency with animal¢s position in right lateral recumbency for short axis view. Eleven parameter of M-mode echocardiography measured were, interventricular septum (IVS), left ventricular internal dimension (LVID), left ventricular wall (LVW) at end-diastole (d) and end- systole (s), stroke volume (SV), cardiac output (CO), ejection time (ET), fractional shortening (FS) and heart rate( HR ). From this study, we found that anaesthetie combination of xylazine-ketamineand causes reduction of parameter HR, LVWd and LVWs, SV, CO, and increation of parameter LVIDd and LVIDs, ET and FS, but the opposite combination of ZT causes increation of HR, LVWd and LVWs, SV, CO, and reduction on parameter LVIDd and LVIDs, ET and FS. The result showed that the combination of xylazine-ketamineand injection have lower values at parameter HR, LVW, SV, and CO (P < 0,05), and higher values at parameter LVID, ET and FS (P < 0,05) and combination of zolazepam-tiletamine injection have higher values at parameter HR, LVWDd and LVWS, SV, CO (P < 0,05), and lower values at parameter LVIDd and LVIDs, ET and FS (P < 0,05)
