dc.description.abstractNitrogen is one of the macro nutrient which is needed to the growth of com. Inorganic fertilizer of N like ZA is needed more and its price becomes higher and it can be a problem for the program of com production. Since the fertilizer is available for the farmer it is needed to control the quality of fertilizer, because not all fertilizer provided in the market has good effectiveness to grow plants. This research was proposed to study the influence of using ZA .to the growth, production, and uptake of N by com plant. This research was conducted in block randomized design with four treatments and five replications. ZA fertilizer taken from PT. Asia Pupuk Guna Lestari containing 21.12 %N and 24.14 % S, with rate of ZA Ix standard rate (375 g/plot or 312.5 kglha), and ZA 1.5x standard rate (563 g/plot or 469 kglha), Urea, SP-36, KCI fertilizer and hybrid com Pioner 4 (P-4). The result of the research indicated that ZA treatment significantly increased crop plant height, dry weight of biomass, production of com, and uptake of N compared with standard treatment as well as control. The effect of ZA Ix standard rate was higher compared ZA 1.5x standard rate for plant height at 3 MST, 7 MST, 16 MST, dry weight of ear, and dry weight of grain. Mean while the effect of ZA 1.5x standard rate was higher compared ZA Ix standard rate for variable dry weight of biomass, and uptake ofN. Therefore ZA fertilizer had more effective compared with standard fertilizer.en
dc.description.abstractNitrogen adalah salah satu unsur hara makro yang sangat diperlukan untuk pertumbuhan jagung. Pupuk anorganik sumber N seperti ZA makin dibutuhkan dan harganya makin tinggi sehingga menjadi masalah bagi program peningkatan produksi jagung. Oleh karena itu dengan semakin maraknya peredaran pupuk di kalangan petani, perlu dilakukan pengujian pupuk, karena tidak semua pupuk yang dipasarkan memiliki tingkat efektivitas yang baik wltuk pertumbuhan tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan wltuk melihat pengaruh pemberian pupuk ZA terhadap perturnbuhan, produksi dan serapan N tanaman jagung. Penelitian ini disusun dalam rancangan acak kelompok dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Bahan yang digunakan yaitu pupuk ZA yang diperoleh dari PT. Asia Pupuk Guna Lestari dengan kandungan 21.12 % N dan 24.14 % S, dengan dosis ZA Ix dosis standar (375 g/petak atau 312.5 kgIHa) dan ZA 1.5x dosis standar (563 glpetak atau 469 kgIHa), pupuk Urea, SP-36, KCl, dan jagung hibrida Pioner-4 (P-4). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan ZA nyata meningkatkan tinggi tanaman, bobot kering brangkasan, produksi jagung, dan serapan N tanaman jagung dibandingkan dengan perlakuan standar maupun kontrol. Efek pemberian pupuk ZA Ix dosis standar nyata lebih tinggi dibandingkan ZA 1.5x dosis standar untuk variabel tinggi tanaman pada 3 MST, 7 MST, 16 MST, bobot kering tongkol berbiji serta bobot kering biji. Sementara pemberian pupuk ZA l.5x dosis standar nyata lebih tinggi dibandingkan ZA Ix dosis standar untuk variabel bobot kering brangkasan dan serapan N tanaman. Dengan demikian pupuk ZA memiliki efektivitas lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan pupuk standar.
