Abstract

The research aims to study the effect of fruit maturity on germination of several Jatropha accessions. The research was conducted in the green house of Bogor Agricultural University from February to May 2009. The research used split plot design with two factors. The main factor was fruit maturity, and the sub factor was jatropha accession. Fruit maturity consist of three levels, namely fruit with green, yellow, and balck colour. Jatropha accession consist of eight genotypes, namely: Sukabumi G-2, Mekar Jaya, Cidolog G-1, Cidolog G-15, Cidolog G-19, Parung Panjang-1, Curug Luhur, and Parung Panjang-2. The result showed that the accession of Sukabumi G-2 and Cidolog G-1 with fruit of yellow and black colour had high viability
