Zeranol is one of the hormone growth promotants which is a synthetic derivative product from mycotoxin and could affect human health. The objective of this research was to analyze the presence of zeranol residue in imported meat from Australia and New Zealand. All of the meat samples were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The result showed that 5 of 59 (8.5%) samples from Australia and 1 of 59 (1.7%) samples from New Zealand contained zeranol residue, with a mean concentration of 0.644±0.157 ppb and 0.680±0.00 ppb, respectively. There were no significant difference concentration of zeranol residue in imported meat from both countries (p>0.05). The result indicated that the concentration of zeranol residue was below the maximum residue limit (MRL) which was established by the National Standardization Agency of Indonesia (SNI No. 01-6366-2000).en
