Abstract: Hybrid tilapia is derived from crosses between gesit tilapia (male) and nirwana tilapia (female). Nearly all the fry of this hybrid tilapia are males, that have higher growth than the local tilapia, more tolerant of a bad enviromental condition, so this fishes allowing to maintained with a higher density.This aims of the research was to determine optimum density that result is high productivity. Seed that used it’s about 4.47±0.29 cm and weighted about 1.51±0.28 g/fish, with density 2, 4 and 6 fish/litre. Feed that used for the fish were commercial pellets about twice a day. Water quality management carried out on the research cleaning the hapa once a week and water drainage. The data that collected and processed were the length and weight growth, survival rate, length variability coefficient, feed efficiency, water quality and economic efficiency. The result of this research showed that optimum stocking density in technically and economically is treatment with stocking density 6 tail/litre. With daily growth weight 5.53±0.06%, absolute growth rate 3.02±0.06%, coefficient of variance 5.74±0.24%, feed efficiency 79.40±3.86%, survival rate 71.60±2.24% (p<0.05). Water quality during research majority in optimum range. Revenue IDR 173,578,314, R/C ratio 1.95, BEP price IDR 29,476,469.16, BEP fish 62,733.07 fish, PP 0.03 year and cost per fish IDR 128.
Ikan nila hibrid merupakan hasil persilangan antara induk jantan dari ikan nila gesit, dengan induk betina dari nila nirwana. Hampir semua benih dari ikan nila hibrid ini berkelamin jantan, memiliki pertumbuhan lebih baik, lebih toleran terhadap lingkungan yang buruk, sehingga memungkinkan ikan ini dipelihara dengan kepadatan yang lebih tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan padat penebaran benih yang menghasilkan produktivitas optimum. Benih yang digunakan berukuran 4,47±0,29 cm dan bobot rata-rata 1,51±0,28 g, dengan padat penebaran 2, 4 dan 6 ekor/liter. Pakan yang diberikan berupa pelet komersil sebanyak dua kali sehari. Pengelolaan kualitas air dilakukan dengan membersihkan hapa sebanyak satu minggu sekali dan pengaliran air. Data yang dikumpulkan selama penelitian dan diolah adalah pertumbuhan panjang mutlak, laju pertumbuhan bobot harian, kelangsungan hidup, koefisien keragaman panjang, efisiensi pakan, kualitas air dan efisiensi ekonomi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan padat penebaran optimal secara teknis maupun ekonomis adalah perlakuan dengan padat penebaran 6 ekor/liter, dengan laju pertumbuhan bobot harian 5,53±0,06%, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak 3,02±0,06%, koefisien keragaman panjang 5,74±0,24%, efisiensi pakan 79,40±3,86%, derajat kelangsungan hidup 71,60±2,24% (p<0.05). Kisaran nilai kualitas air selama penelitian sebagian besar masih dalam rentang kisaran optimal. Keuntungan Rp 173.578.314, R/C rasio 1,95, BEP harga Rp 29.476.469,16, BEP ekor 62.733,07 ekor, PP 0,03 tahun, dan biaya produksi per ekor Rp 128.
