dc.description.abstractAquaculture business development especially in remote place faces the lack of electricity energy challenge that must use alternative electricity such as solar energy sources. It can be used on DC in vaname shrimp hatchery to get proper oxygen for the growth of shrimps. This observation aimed to measure the working result of direct current air pump through solar energy sources (SES) and compare the using of direct current air pump through PLN energy sources (SEP) viewed from electrical power stability aspect (P), dissolved oxygen (DO), oxygen transfer rate (OTR), direct current air pump effectiveness (E), survival rate (SR), and specific growth rate (SGR). This observation was done from November 9th until November 28th 2011 at Environment 2 Laboratory, Faculty of Fishery and Marine, Bogor Agricultural Institute. The method in conducting this research was Complete Random Design (CRD) through the using of DC air pump through solar energy sources (SES) and the using of DC air pump through PLN energy sources (SEP). Each DC air pump is completed by ten aeration pipes in a place with volume of 400 liter and it is streamed by 12 Volt power electric. The result of this observation showed DO value on solar energy sources was about 1,6-11,8 mg/l, while on PLN sources was about 5,0-11,7 mg/l. The highest measurement of OTR value and DC air pump effectiveness was on solar energy which was around 1,65 x 103 kg O2/hour and 6,1 %. It is concluded that the using of DC air pump through solar energy and PLN energy sources does not influence significantly to the survival rate and specific growth rate of vaname postlarvae Litopenaeus vannamei.en
dc.description.abstractPengembangan usaha budidaya perikanan khususnya di daerah terpencil menghadapi tantangan keterbatasan energi listrik, yang kemudian harus menggunakan listrik alternatif, antara lain dengan listrik energi surya. Sumber listrik tersebut dapat digunakan pada pompa DC dalam sebuah hatchery udang vaname untuk menghasilkan oksigen yang layak untuk udang tumbuh dan berkembang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur seberapa besar kinerja pompa DC menggunakan bantuan sumber energi surya (SES) dan membandingkan penggunaan pompa DC dengan sumber energi PLN (SEP) yang dilihat dari segi kestabilan daya listrik (P), dissolved oxygen (DO), oxygen transfer rate (OTR), efektivitas pompa DC (E), kelangsungan hidup (SR), serta laju pertumbuhan spesifik (SGR). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari tanggal 09 November s.d. 28 November 2011, bertempat di Laboratorium Lingkungan 2, Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu kelautan, Institut Pertanian Bogor. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan perlakuan penggunaan pompa DC dengan sumber energi surya (SES) dan penggunaan pompa DC dengan sumber energi PLN (SEP). Masing-masing pompa DC dilengkapi selang aerasi sebanyak 10 selang pada wadah dengan volume 400 liter dan dialiri listrik dengan tegangan 12 Volt. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai DO pada perlakuan dengan listrik tenaga surya yaitu berkisar 1,6-11,8 mg/l, sedangkan pada PLN berkisar 5,0-11,7 mg/l. Pengukuran nilai OTR dan efektivitas pompa DC tertinggi pada perlakuan tenaga surya yaitu 1,65 x 103 kg O2/jam dan 6,1 %. Penggunaan pompa DC dengan sistem tenaga surya dan PLN tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap tingkat kelangsungan hidup dan laju pertumbuhan spesifik postlarva udang vaname Litopenaeus vannamei
