dc.description.abstractTypes of crab leading export market is the mangrove crab Scylla serrata soft shell. Soft shell mud crab is a crab mangrove swamp phase moult (moulting). The methods used in the process of cultivation a soft shell mud crab is cutting of claws and Foot Paths methods, popey, and natural. The purpose of this research to determine the level of the highest efficiency among these methods by analyzing the survival rate of survival, growth rate, the amount of time molting crabs, crab molting time, growth of biomass as well as cost analysis. The seeds used was 7.49±0.21 cm in length and 110.52 ± 2.70 g in weight. The results showed that the average of survival rate for all treatment are 88,89-92,59% (P>0,05). The highest growth rate was in the treatment of cutting claws foot paths at 2.92% (P<0,05). Moult in the fastest method of cutting claws foot paths with an average crab molting on the 14th day, whereas the highest molting time there at night which is at 22.00-24.00. From cost analysis of third treatment obtained profits each to IDR 953,866,469.57; IDR 715,111,865.97 and IDR 792,038,018.61; BEPunit 1.275 unit, 1.298 unit, and 1.298 unit; BEPp IDR 111,097,052; IDR 107,424,805; and IDR 106,211,729 production cost IDR 26.285; IDR19.626; and IDR 18.288; payback period (PP) for 0.04 years, 0.09 years and 0.08 years. Based on the three treatments showed that treatment not a significanttly different (P> 0.05), but significantly different with growth rate of daily weight (P <0.05). In general, the production of soft shell mangrove crab natural treatment is more efficient than cutting of claws and foot path treatment and popey, whether viewed from the cultivation parameters and economic parameters.en
dc.description.abstractJenis kepiting unggulan dalam pasar ekspor adalah kepiting bakau Scylla serrata cangkang lunak. Kepiting bakau cangkang lunak adalah kepiting bakau fase ganti kulit (moulting). Metode yang digunakan dalam proses budidaya kepiting bakau cangkang lunak adalah metode pemotongan capit dan kaki jalan, popey, dan alami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan tingkat efisiensi tertinggi diantara metode-metode tersebut melalui kajian derajat kelangsungan hidup, laju pertumbuhan, jumlah kepiting molting terhadap waktu, waktu kepiting molting, pertumbuhan biomassa serta analisis usahanya. Benih yang digunakan kepiting bakau berukuran panjang rata-rata 7,49±0,21 cm dan bobot rata-rata 110,52±2,70 g. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata derajat kelangsungan hidup semua perlakuan berkisar antara 88,89-92,59% (P>0,05). laju pertumbuhan bobot harian tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan mutilasi yakni sebesar 2,92% (P<0,05). Ganti kulit tercepat terdapat pada metode pemotongan capit dan kaki jalan dengan rata-rata kepiting molting pada hari ke-14, sedangkan waktu molting tertinggi terdapat pada malam hari yakni pukul 22.00-24.00. Analisis biaya ketiga perlakuan diperoleh keuntungan masing-masing sebesar Rp 953,866,469,57; Rp 715,111,865,97 dan Rp 792,038,018,61; BEP (unit) sebesar 1.275 ekor, 1.298 ekor, dan 1.298 ekor; BEPp sebesar Rp 111,097,052; Rp 107,424,805; dan Rp 106,211,729; HPP sebesar Rp 26.285; Rp 19.626; dan Rp 18.288 serta payback period (PP) selama 0,04 tahun, 0,09 tahun, dan 0,08 tahun. Berdasarkan ketiga perlakuan menunjukkan bahwa, perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap derajat kelengsungan hidup (P>0,05), namun berpengaruh nyata terhadap laju pertumbuhan bobot harian (P<0,05). Secara umum, produksi kepiting bakau cangkang lunak perlakuan alami lebih efisien dibandingkan dengan perlakuan pemotongan capit dan kaki jalan serta popey, baik dilihat dari parameter budidaya maupun parameter ekonomi
