Kajian National Plant Protection Organization (NPPO) Indonesia: peraturan perundang undangan dan tingkat adopsi international standard/or Phytosanitary Measures (ISPM)

Abstract

Organisasi perlindungan tumbuhan nasional (National Plant Protection Organization, NPPO) merupakan organisasi perlindungan tumbuhan yang resmi dibentuk oleh pemerintah di setiap negara anggota WTO. Bentuk kelembagaan NPPO setiap negara berbeda-beda, sangat ditentukan oleh perundang-undangan dan bentuk organisasi pemerintahan yang berlaku.

National Plant Protection Organization (NPPO) is official services established by government to discharge the functions of prevent the introduction and or spread of pests related in trade. The structure of NPPO in each country is detennined by legislation and government system. Nowadays, functions of NPPO are increasingly important in the international trade. NPPO perfonnance in the implementation of its functions is a reflection of the competitiveness of the nation. The obj ective of this study was to observe the status and perfonnance of NPPO Indonesia through a study of the regulations, organization component, and implementations of functions, which related to the NPPO Indonesia.
