Performa pertumbuhan dan reproduksi rajungan (Portunus pelagicus) di perairan Pantai Kabupaten Brebes

Abstract

The research on growth and reproduction perfonnance of blue swimming crab (Portunus pelagicus) was conducted from April 2008 through March 2009 in Brebes district waters with survey method. The objective of the research was to get infonnation about characteristic of growth and reproduction of blue swimming crab (Portunus pe/agicus) as base of sustainable fisheries management. Samples was collected by capture gear was called garok. The result showed that ranges of crab carapace length were 2.1 em to 7.5 em and weight range were 6.53 g•to 253.24 g. This condition demonstrated there was variation of old structure on crab population and which was caught from same cohort The Growth was expressed by Length-width, corelation of length-weight crab was come and Condition coeffiient
