| Abstract: | The aim of this study was to examine the in vitro and in vivo development of zona pellucida•free mouse embryos transferred to the recipient. Embryos were flushed on 4 days of gestation (vaginal plug=1 day of gestation) and pellucida zona was removed by using 0.25% pronase for 4-5 min. Embryo were cultured in tissue culture medium (TCM) 199 supplemented with 0.4% bovine serum albumin (BSA) in 5% C02 incubator at 37°C for 5 h. There was no difference between zona pellucida-free blastocysts developed into expanded blastosysts (76%, 31/41 and 73%, 43/59 for zona pellucida-free blastocysts, respectively) in contras, zona pellucida intact morula developed to blastocysts better than zona pellucida morula (79%, 49/62 and 19%, 10/52 for zona pellucida-intact and zona pellucida-free morula, respectively) The transfer of zona pellucida intact blastocysts resulted in completely implantation (48%, 12/25 and 13%, 6/45 for zona pellucida-free blastocysts respectively), All animal (100%, 3/3) receved zona pellucida intact blastocysts got in pregnancy at the 10th days of gestation (67%, 4/6). These results demonstrate that zona pellucida-free embryos could develop both in vitro and in vivo. |
