The palm oil industry is one of the leading agro-industries in Indonesia, since it has a relatively significant contribution to the government tax revenue and absorbs more than three million workers in this field. In 2009, it is predicted that the plantation area will be 9.2 million hectares and will produce 21 million to 37.6 million tons Crude Palm Oil (CPO). Comparing to Malaysia, Indonesia has a broader area of palm plantation but unfortunately it has a lower productivity and quality. One of the reasons is that most of our palm oil corporations do not have an integrated policy on how to respond to the risks that are inherent in daily operations, both in estates and palm oil milling. The main objective of the research is to develop a model of corporate risk portfolio for palm oil agro-industry. The model developed in this research is corporate risk portfolio model for palm oil agro-industry. It includes risk assessment model, risk measurement model, risk strategy model and decision making model. Methods used in-clude Fuzzy-AHP, Analytical Network Process (ANP), Enterprise Risk Management and Value at Risk, There are some generic risks such as drought and fertilization process (in the plantation); milling plant stagnation, high free fatty acid content, high losses exceeding the normal content and low Oil Extraction Rate (in the milling plant). Some specific risks are: stealing/burglary, pests, community land claim of the plantation area, insufficient means of transportation, bad infrastructures conditions, and the Dayak tribes' land squatting problems.en
