Abstract: Today’s globalization era, demands every actor in an organization to be more persistence. Therefore, for worker who could not cope with such demand will most likely experience a job stress. Job stress is a state when a worker encounter physical and emotional pressure from work, that could happened from lack of support, pressure, and work demands that are seen as a burden. Job stress will form various work behavior to every individual, whether it’s positive or negative behavior, both will affect their work performance. Worker performance emerges from effective or emotional response towards their chores at work, which affect the whole organization performance. Therefore, research has been conducted to find which stressor indicator (STR) that factual effect job stress (SK) and how job stress (SK) significantly affect towards employee’s performance (KN). The research is conducted at the news division of one private television company which located in Jakarta. Primary data are collected from questionnaire and discussion obtain from 129 respondents. The methodology that is used for this research is Partial Least Square analysis (PLS). Based on the analysis result, the level of job stress at the news division: bulletin, supporting, and magazine department, there is a very little possibility that job stress comes from the effect of pressure and lack of support. Workers at bulletin department, most likely to experienced job stress compared to workers at supporting department or magazine department. Female are more prone to job stress compared to male. Stressor from work pressure (STR1) and lack of support (STR2) does not have a significant effect towards employee’s performance (KN). Job stress that emerges is indicated as an affect from other non organizational, such as individual and environment. Therefore, if the workers at the news division experience job stress which effect their change in attitude and behavior, will affect their working performance which there will be changes in their quality, persistence and the work quantity that they produced.
Pada era global saat ini, tuntutan semakin berat bagi setiap pelaku organisasi. Bagi pekerja yang tidak dapat menyesuaikan diri dengan tuntutan yang ada, seringkali akan memicu terjadinya stres kerja. Stres kerja adalah suatu keadaan tertekan secara emosional dan psikologis, sebagai akibat dari tekanan, kurangnya dukungan, serta tuntutan yang dinilai sebagai sesuatu yang membebani yang berasal dari lingkungan kerja. Stres kerja akan membentuk berbagai macam perilaku kerja bagi setiap individu karyawan, baik perilaku positif maupun negatif, keduanya akan mempengaruhi kinerja mereka dalam bekerja. Kinerja karyawan timbul sebagai respon efektif atau emosional terhadap tugas pekerjaan yang dilakukan oleh karyawan, yang berpengaruh terhadap kinerja perusahaan secara keseluruhan. Untuk itu dilakukan penelitian untuk menganalisis indikator stressor (STR) apa saja yang berpengaruh nyata terhadap stres kerja (SK) dan bagaimana stres kerja (SK) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja (KN) karyawan. Penelitian dilakukan di divisi pemberitaan (news) PT. XYZ, salah satu stasiun televisi swasta yang berlokasi di DKI Jakarta. Data primer diambil melalui kuesioner dan diskusi dengan sampel sebanyak 129 responden yang terbagi atas 25 karyawan bulletin, 51 karyawan supporting, dan 53 karyawan magazine. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis Partial Least Square (PLS). Pada analisis model outer-reflektif, pengukuran peubah laten stres kerja (SK) direfleksikan dari indikator (1) kemarahan, (2) rasa tersinggung, (3) absensi, (4) konsentrasi, dan (5) kesalahan. Model outer-reflektif lainnya berupa pengukuran peubah laten kinerja (KN) yang direfleksikan oleh (1) kuantitas, (2) kualitas, dan (3) ketepatan waktu. Sedangkan pada model outer-formatif, peubah laten stressor (STR) dikelompokkan kedalam (1) STR1 (tekanan pekerjaan) dan (2) STR2 (kurangnya dukungan) yang dibentuk oleh masing-masing indikator. Analisis model inner dilakukan untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh STR terhadap SK dan pengaruh SK terhadap KN sesuai dengan model yang dikembangkan.
