Keragaan galur-galur padi potensial aromatik IPB pada dataran tinggi

Abstract

IPB researcher had breed potential promising aromatic rice lines. It has result by crossing between Sintanur and Fatmawati variety with local aromatic rice from Toraja, South Sulawesi, namely Pinjan, Lambau, and Pulu Mandoti. The lines had not appearance the aroma character in lowland experiment site that. The lines probably have attached gen that could appearance aroma in highland. In this research, experiment site on Cianjur highland at Sukaresmi Distric. The objective of this research were to test aroma appearance of IPB potential aromatic promising lines in highland. The hypothesis of this research were aroma appearance of IPB potential aromatic promising lines were expressed on highland.. Hopeful, the lines could appearance the aroma character. This research was done from January until June 2011, used 21 IPB potential aromatic lines with 3 check variety, there are Ciherang, Sintanur, and Sarinah. Aroma tested were used 2 method, there are test tube and coocked method. From aroma tested, all of the lines have appearanced aroma. Line IPB 149-F-2-1-1, IPB 117-F-28-4-1, and IPB 117-F-20-1-1 have the highest score for aroma by coocked method. Line IPB 140-F-6-1-1 have the highest score for aroma by test tube method.
