Efektivitas pemberian ekstrak etanol purwoceng (Pimpinella alpina) selama 1-13 hari kebuntingan terhadap bobot ovarium dan uterus tikus putih (Rattus sp.)

Abstract

The research was aimed to examine the effects of purwoceng ethanol extract on the ovarium and the uterus weight of pregnant rat during 1-13 days gestation. This study consisted of two groups, the control group (no treatment) and the group that was given purwoceng ethanol extract. Purwoceng has been known as an estrogenic plant. Purwoceng ethanol extract was given on the first day until the 13th day of gestation. Rat were dissected on the 13th day of pregnancy to get the ovarium and the uterus weight. The result had shown that purwoceng ethanol extract tended to increase ovarium weight as well as the uterus weight.
