S paper studies on the effect of reserve requirement ratio (RRR) policy on some indicators of banking performance. In the short run. its effect is not significant because at the beginning of this policy banks' asset is still adequate to maintain the bank performance based on their determined budget and target plan. In the long run, however, the increasing RRR will increase the customer deposits, credits, and non-performing loans as well. The implication of this research is that the increasing of RRR has increased public confidence, but the banking system must prudently \ undertake feasibility study on their debtors before giving them credit.en
