| Abstract: | Antonie Augustus Bruijn entered the service of the Koninklijke Marine (Royal Dutch Navy) as his family’s tradition at an early age. Ten years of his dedication to the Koninklijke Marine, Bruijn was honourably discharged in 1867. After his retirement, he moved to Ternate, one of important harbour in Indonesia which he stayed several times during his service in the Navy. |
