dc.description.abstractDetection of Banana Bunchy Top Virus (BBTV) was ronducted for infected banana leaves diluted at concentration of 1, 5, 50, 100, 500, 1000, 5000, 10000 and 100000 times using the immano capture polymerase chain reaction (IC-PCR) method. Agdia BBTV polyclonal antibodies at the concentration of 100% and 50% recommended by the ELISA kit were used. Polymerase chain reaction analysis demonstrated the presence of DNA bands of approrimately 1.1 kb which was in accordance with the reported size of BBTV DNA. The bands can still be traced in the infected leaf extract until the dilution of 10000 times (equal to 100 ng tissues). The used of 50% of antibody concentration for the serolopical may showed the same results as those of 100%.en
