Kajian Strategi Pengembangan Ikan Hias dalam Menunjang Ekspor (Kasus di DKI Jakarta)

Abstract

This research was aimed to analyze the sites development for retaining ornamental fish, determining the forms of promotion, and providing the altematives for operational strategy to support ornamental fish S export. The analysis was based on the secondary data and the factual conditions obtained from the survey towards thefish mongers; the ornamental fish exporters; and the oficials f r o the concerned institutions, particularly the Fishery Department of Municipality of Jakarta (MOJ), the Department of City Order; BPEN, and the House of Quarantine. There are three appropriate locations suggested to be the Center for Promoting Ornamental Fish based on the specified criteriaand considerations, i.e. Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Sumenep Street, and Barito. Using SWOT analysis the operational strategy in developing the ornamentalfish for export was formulated.
